Building Specifications

We feel very strongly about taking care of the environment as well as our residents.

The construction of this building incorporates green and environmentally-friendly features, which are described below.

Building Mechanical Systems

Units will be conditioned with Aquatherm units to provide both heat and air conditioning. Bathrooms and dryers will be vented to the outdoors and common areas and corridors will be air conditioned from packaged rooftop units and heated with gas. Residents will be able to monitor their own heat and air conditioning via the wall mounted thermostats within each unit.

Community Revitalization

The Town Center Apartments are part of the Community Revitalization Plan. Because of the project’s unique location, putting it within walking distance of so many neighborhood shopping, service, and recreational amenities, it will be perfect for more active senior residents. The building meets the demand for affordable housing directed toward the large in-place senior population.

Energy Efficiency

The project’s architects and engineers have designed the building to meet or exceed CHFA’s minimum energy efficiency requirements. Click here to see the complete “Green Communities” checklist. • Compact development (approx 40 units per acre) • Walkable development having three connections the existing and future neighborhood and Town Center • Will recycle at least 25% of its constriction waste • Smoke free building • Low or no VOC paints, primers, adhesives, or sealants will be specified throughout, greatly improving indoor air quality
